An Open Letter to Blizzard
For many years we of the Horde have suffered the leader of the Forsaken having an inappropriately energetic bounce when she stands still for too long. For years we were under the impression that this was merely a temporary placeholder until you were able to give her a more appropriate model, however once patch 2.0 was released this was no longer the case. The model is here, the textures are there to be used and there is absolutely no excuse to not do this any longer.
Let’s assume for a moment that I know something about programming.
An NPC has some kind of file or ID associated with it to give it its unique appearance, am I correct? This in mind, would it not be a simple task to simply change a few parameters of this NPC file to force the model change server-side? And if the model change is more complicated than that, how long would it take to create a hotfix for this one NPC? Knowing how quickly Blizzard works where high-priority situations are concerned, a minor hotfix like this shouldn’t take longer than a few hours at the very most. In fact, you could sneak it in on a Maintenance Day and give all of us Hordies a pleasant surprise when we log on.
Something that should look similar to this:

Overall, I think that for all the money we sink into this game, and for some the many years of faithful following of the Warcraft story, we should get a more accurate model for this major faction leader.
I understand that you are very busy with development of Wrath of the Lich King, this mystery MMO that rumor talks about, whatever plans you have for the StarCraft series, and in higher priority the 2.4 patch that will introduce the Sunwell into WoW, but what I am asking, and what I’m certain many others want, is that you give Sylvanas the High Elf model for accuracy’s sake. This is a very small change that would mean a great deal to us, and you could easily take a moment of your time to implement it into the next patch before 2.4 or directly into the 2.4 patch to coincide with the opening of the Sunwell.
We have been patient for three years, we are patient no longer.
